The pie charts illustrate the percentage of water used in six different continents for the purposes of domestic, agricultural and industrial use. Overall, it can be seen that while the continents of North America and Europe shared similar patterns of water used, other territories had parallel distribution in usage of water mostly used for agriculture.

To begin, the industrial use of water was the majority of water used in North America and Europe followed by agricultural and domestic use. There was a big gap between the industrial uses of water in the mentioned continents and other four. The rest of the areas shared the same proportion of water used without an exception of South America. It had a slightly bigger proportion of domestic use and a smaller proportion of agricultural use than Asia and Africa. According to data from pie charts, it can be understood that either agriculture or industry is the main economical sector using water in different places.

To continue, it is obvious that there were more domestic utilizations of water in the contients of North America, Europe and South America compared to others probably because of the human population they had. Moreover, the amount of agricultural water used in developed countries including North America and Europe was remarkable because approximately one-third of total water usage belonged to it.
