Do you prefer to prepare for a big test with other classmates or alone?

Use specific reasons to support your answer.

In modern and global world, professional exams or tests exist to provide a profession for teenagers in every country. Students have to implement different exam techniques or methods to be successful. No doubt, everybody has their own unique learning style. I always prefer to prepare for a big test like university entrance exam or the TOEFL test alone rather than studying with my classmates due to the fact that it allows me to be more concentrated on my task and also be able to pace myself.

The first reason for preferring to get ready for an important test alone instead of a group study is that this manner permits me to be more concentrated on my studies. Firstly, in a group, I cannot focus on the topic very well on account of the possibilty of digressing by talking with others about some issues like political agenda, sports events or maybe gossiping when studying with my classmates.

The second effect for preparing for a big test on my own is that it allows me to pace myself. Time management is very important for every exam. That is why, I must not waste my time by not being able to read speedly while I am studying with a group. I may slow down because my classmates may naturally be brainstorming on the case. For instance, I did a group study with my best friends for the biology exam when I was in the senior level of my high school. The result was that I failed the exam due to the ineffective studying that I did with them.

The last argument for preferring to study alone for a significant test is that everyone has their own unique learning style. One of my friends in the university is used to learning by taking mini notes. Another friend of mine tends to learn by repeating the key points of lectures. As for me, I am liable to learn by both taking notes and repeating lecture notes. Therefore, it seems obvious that studying together with other classmates can harm me rather than being beneficial.

In conclusion, arguments such as to be more focused, to pace myself and to follow my own specific learning style play a big role in choosing to study alone while getting ready for an important exam. Unsimilar internal dynamics possessed by people can affect their study fashions and ultimately their success in the exams.
