Do the dangers derived from the use of chemicals in food production and preservation outweigh the advantages?

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own experience or knowledge.

According to the analyses, there are some additives practically in all nourishments shopping we do nowadays. These chemicals are used to preserve the food we purchase in a long-time period. Nevertheless, there are apprehensions that the chemical additives used in food preservation can be dangerous for our health. From my way of thinking, the benefits of chemicals in foods are quite negligible in comparison with the serious harms that they may cause.

There are many justifications for the utilisation of admixtures in food products. If we talk about a few main reasons, we can mention some sustenance dyes and preservative stuff that are used to provide aesthetica and nice sight. In this way, these foods can naturally catch the attention of people and may lead them to purchase them. Another reason to support the additives in foods is that these kinds of substances increase the shelf life of the food products and prevent them from going off. In fact, even the packaging of the products can also be very harmful because of their direct contact with the foods. Consequently, we are inevitably exposed to many kinds of chemicals just because of the fact that the producing companies do not go bankruptcy.

From my point of view, the main idea is that the use of these extender matters is not customer-oriented, but company-oriented. Even if companies show evidence that the additives are not harmful to health, everyone is aware of their unfavorable effects on human life. Today, increasing diseases such as obesitity, cancer and other kinds of serious deseases originate from the impressions of these actinics.

In conclusion, in my opinion the benefit of using the chemical ingredients is the priority for the companies rahter than for human health. Consumers should be informed in details. It seems impossible not to use chemicals; however, I hope that public will be encouraged for the consumption of more organic products.
