It is necessary for parents to attend a parenting training course to bring their children up. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Bringing up a child is perhaps the most important hardest and the most comprehensive responsibility of people's lives. Although it looks like it is affecting only one person's life, parent's decisions, attitudes and behaviours can change whole society. In these days, many experts from sociology and phsycology departments emphasize the importance of parenting courses for mothers and even fathers in every term of their children's lives. I strongly believe that these types of courses would be very helpful and should be an essential part of adult learning content.

To begin, parenting needs a variety of ability, knowledge and social support. To explain this, we can seperate child rearing process into two periods. The first one begins with baby's birth. A baby has plenty of physical necessities including eating, sleeping and medical care. While a baby grows up, other types of matters such as acquiring the language, motor and cognitive skills can be seen and due to this fact parents should be supportive as much as possible. Parenting courses  can be very effective in teaching people about how to bring up their children in an appropriate way and also how to get support from professionals. Also, they can share their experience with other parents. I think it must be the most effective way of feeling of being understood and supported.

To continue with the second period, we can say that it starts from children's school life and lasts all their lives. In earlier times of this grade, we observe  more complex matters including academic issues  and  socialization. Even though they still have physical needs, especially in the first years of the school, children should be informed about being    compatible with the school rules and encouraged to socialize. Also, children continue doing some sports, art and musical activities apart from their school activities. In another perspective, people have to work long hours or raise their children as a single parent so that it is quite natural that they can not find enough time and energy to help their children sufficiently. These courses can give them the chance to plan their time with their children    effectively and find the best ways of maximising their energy.

Moreover, as I mentioned before, the second grade covers humans' whole lives. Like a baby or a teenager, an adult person needs someone who can support and elevate them all the time, as well. For instance, they need support in studying, working, getting married and having a baby. Since parenting never lasts, although being a parent will not be as intensive as it is in the first years, parenting  courses can be a good solution to maintain the supporter's and elavator's role.

To sum up, despite the variety of responsibilities and the load of bringing up children, parenting is the most significant, diffucult and complicated act in our world. I   agree with the experts of related departments in this matter, firmly holding the idea that parenting classes are necessary in assisting parents on different matters related to child raising process.
