Salary increases and promotions to new positions are not the only ways to reward employees for good work. What other rewards for good work can be effective in encouraging further good work? Use specific examples to support your response.

Rewarding employees for their good work is an efficient way of reflecting that employees are valued and respected. Although many companies reward employees with promotions and salary increase, there are other ways of doing it as well.

One way to reward great work and great employee is public recognition. It is a simple gesture, but a powerful one. First of all, it encourages the good stuff to continue doing decent works and to constantly develop themselves in order to deserve appreciations. Additionally, recognizing employees for achieving standout results will motivate other team members and boost morale. As employees become determinant of getting their own recognition, they will work harder. As a result, productivity will increase which in turn will lead to high company output and success.

Another way of honouring top-performing employees can be organising incentive trips or free vacations. When you are good at something and show that you are responsible, hardworking and a high-acheiver, the reward for well work is often more work. It might be seen as giving top employee more opportunities, but it can cause decreased enthusiasm and dissatisfaction of the employee over time. In such cases, I think, travel can work wonders. It makes employees feel more rested, less anxious and more included. Therefore, being awarded with an all-paid holiday will give renewed impetus to the spiritless employees.

All in all, commending employees for their exceptional acheivements and letting them know that their efforts do not go unnoticed is extremely important. It has a signaficant role in a company's success. Different companies may have distinct strategies for this which all lead to the same result; greater employee engagement, which increases retention and helps to create a more positive overall workplace.
