Some people believe that social media sites, such as Facebook or Twitter, have a negative impact on young people and their ability to form personal relationships. Others believe that these sites bring people together in a beneficial way.

In the new era, people use technological devices to connect with each other for their pleasure or necessities. Some people think that social media and websites have some bad effects on young people, but others believe that social media has beneficial features for young people to bring them together. In my humble opinion, social media can be useful in terms of bringing people together as I will mention in the upcoming paragraphs.

On the one hand, social media and other websites have covered the biggest part of our lives recently. Especially young people spend much more time on social media than old people. Young generation was born with technological devices. Because of this, teenagers believe in the power of social media. They have the chance to learn a lot of knowledge about everything from the internet. For this reason, some popular social media websites such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter provide many oppurtunities to share our lifestyles with our followers. These examples are some benefits of social media.

On the other hand, social media have disadvantages as much as advantages. As an exemplification, our virtual identification can be stolen by vicious people and might be used for bad intentions. Sometimes, our contents have possibility to be under cyber attacks by the same people. Due to these common examples for this point of view, it is thought that social media has detrimental effects on young people.

Having evinced the aforesaid perspectives and examples, we can conclude that social media and other websites can be suitable for its purpose if we use them in a poistive way. However, their disadvantages can also cause many kinds of cyber crimes. Taking into account all of these facts, we can easily say that we have to accept and use the internet with all its thread and thrum.
