The gap between the rich and the poor is increasingly wide, as rich people become richer and poor people grow poorer. What problems could this situation cause? What are the solutions to address those problems?
It is a widely known fact that in today's world, the gap between the wealthy and the destitute is growing wider in many regions of the globe. The results of this issue are complex, and fundamental solutions based on improvements in education and awareness of people should be adopted to tackle with this trouble.
It is obvious that increasing levels of poverty and rising wealth inequalities have impact on the economic boost of a country and the security of citizens. It is true to say that the existence of large mass of unemployed or low paid workers affect domestic businesses such as local shops and factories directly. As nobody has enough money to purchase some products, most of the small companies and work places have to close their businesses. Furthermore, in terms of public security, without the means of making money through work, the poor might turn to commit crimes like drug trafficking, robbery and violent attack on others. What is more, as a consequence of such circumstances, a majority of young people tend to flee from their hometown.
As for the solutions, governments need to improve educational opportunities for the benefits of all their citizens, in order to reduce the gap between the poor and the rich. In addition, the provision of schooling standards in slum areas of cities and poor rural zones enables children to reach high levels of educational attainment. Additionally, grants and scholarships may be used to help students to keep on getting education for longer periods and gain some more qualifications. For instance, governments can construct some facilities thanks to which pupils can enhance their knowledge and skills. This, no doubt, may assist them to keep away from committing crimes and starting to live their lives in welfare.
When it comes to the conclusion, it is obvious to claim that the main causes of the gap problem between the poor and the rich are poverty, lack of education and the ignorance of people. We can handle this problem by improving educational opportunities and providing the public with some useful occupations to wipe out the huge class difference in the society.
