In the last 20 years there have been significant developments in the field of information technology (IT), for example the World Wide Web and communication by email. However, these developments in IT are likely to have more negative effects than positive in the future.

Having done remarkable improvements in the area of information technology in the last 20 years, humans are highly affected by the results of these circumstances. People all around the world get numerous advantages from these advances. On the other side, I strongly believe that in the future we will have to deal with lots of disbenefits coming from these evolutions.
On the positive side, the email technology has changed the style of communication in the current world. Today's communication has become cheaper, easier and faster than it was in the past. As a result, particularly trade and business has got lots of benefits by using this communication system. Especially, international business and commerce have spread their nets to every corner of the world. Furthermore, thanks to the World Web Wide, people can access every kind of information and oppurtunity and whatever they want from every where in just minutes. For instance, a student can participate in an online educational course from another continent. A housewife gets some receipes from a website. A musician is able to upload his/her performance video on the channels and become famous in a matter of days. All in all, owing to these facilities, human's life has become easier and more convenient.
Despite these positive results, the new technologies have brought about cause some inevitable detrimental issues. To begin, traditional communication types, such as writing a letter, talking on the phone and face to face meetings have decreased due to email communication system. As a consequences of this, people have started to feel lonely and unsociable. Also, as there is no regulation to control the time spent and what time is more appropriate to spend on the internet, humans are deeply addicted to the internet nowadays, as a result of which they may not manage to handle their studies, works and even their house holds in the right way. Lastly, there are lots of identiy thefts, virtual frauds and bullyings on the internet, which causes the users to feel insecure.
To conclude, developments in IT has given us many profits without any doubt. However, its disadvantages might outweigh its advantages. In my opinion, goverments and public should think about these drawbacks and provide some effective solutions to avoid the negative outcomes in the future.
