In the current era, a number of people insistently wonder what factors are impacting on reporting information to the mass media. Besides, a growing amount of news and knowledge on television or newspapers noticeably influences the public. This essay will discuss various effects that are associated with the phenomenon above.
As far as I am concerned, there is a wide range of factors to make spectacular news which is the main reason to demonstrate the quality of messenger when choosing news. It is obvious that press companies need to earn money to preserve the continuity, which would explain why the editors pay attention to rising in the rating list. This leads the companies to pursue the increasingly diverse needs of viewers in all their lives in order to satisfy and cater to them. Another contributory factor is that news editors of many countries have to succumb to political pressure, distort reality facts, and mislead the public. To put in another way, they are controlled entirely by powerful political parties and enjoined disregarding the truth. This is particularly true in many undemocratic countries. These can be the main reasons for most of the editors while deciding about the kinds of news on televisions and their prints in newspapers.
In addition, the editors take care to decide the pressing and broadcasting news for possibilities of watching and reading the news by the public. Press companies gain status via increased continuity of viewership due to the fact that the editors make a lot of researches on most of the interests of the audience to present the news related to murders, traffic accidents, pilferage and more of these. All hese undoubtedly affect the subconscious mind of viewers or readers as a result of negative news explanations. However, owing to the fact that this news is from our daily life, it feels like you ought to watch them constantly. Being constantly exposed to bad news naturally destroys the future expectancy and discourages of the audience and readers. In addition to this, this will have an adverse effect on the remote future. People cannot act freely with the thought that something bad will happen to them and it tends to affect their psychology.
To sum up, current time news and information on media that we receive are influenced by a number of main factors such as hooking viewers, increasing profits, and obeying political regulations. The news media can try to manage and manipulate the news for their own benefits. All in all, I am of the opinion that we should see and hear more good news than bad ones if we are to maintain our mental health.
