Last month you had a holiday overseas where you stayed with some friends. They have just sent you some photos of your holiday.

Write a letter to your friends. In your letter:

• thank them for the photos and for the holiday

• explain why you didn’t write earlier

• invite them to come and stay with you

Dear Sena,

Hope this letter finds you in radiant health and the best of your spirits. I am writing to thank you for the photos of our exceptional time together and an unforgettable holiday. I put the photo frame of the place where we took the best vacation I've ever had on my nightstand.

I can’t thank you enough for showing me your city, mouth-watering cuisines and thrilling activities. I downloaded all the photos that you sent to me; the quality of the pictures is gorgeous. You can make sure that I will save these photos to show them to my grandchildren in the future.

I wanted to write earlier, however, when I got home after the holiday, I noticed that the leak in the kitchen faucet was covering the whole house. It took me about three weeks to get the house back clean. Can you imagine! Kindly accept my apology and I desperately hope you don’t think I’ve been ungrateful or rude.

Christmas vacation is approaching. I’d like you to join the party I will organize at my house, and there will be mutual friends at the party who you have not seen for a long time. So that, we can spend some quality time together.
