You bought a music concert ticket. However, you are unable to go. So you want to offer the ticket to your friend.

Write a letter to your friend. In your letter:

• say about the concert

• say why you are unable to go

• inform how your friend can receive the ticket

Dear Sena,

Sorry I haven’t been in touch with you for ages. Hope you are doing well and things are good at your side.

My reason for contacting you is that I planned to go and watch Jonathan Roy in concert on the 25th of next month at Zorlu Centre. Actually, this is his first concert in Turkey, and you can guess why I walk on air. However, I forgot that I have a final exam on the day of the concert. I talked to the instructor to change the exam date, but unfortunately she said that my request could not be accepted. This was totally disappointing to me.

As you are a massive fan of his too, I was wondering if you’d like to take my ticket. I don’t want any money for it. It will be on me. I wonder if it is possible for you to come together next week? I can hand over the ticket to you and we can listen to his latest song while drinking our coffee.
