Dear Sena,

It was such a pleasant surprise when I received your engagement card today morning. The last time we spoke to you, you said your engagement date would be in summer. I'm sure you’ll be the couple of the year and you are a perfect match for each other

Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend the engagement party because I have to participate in an urgent international business meeting at the same date. This meeting is very important for my business. I have been preparing for it for the last two months. As the clients are from overseas, I cannot tell them to change their plans. I hope you understand.

I won't be able to attend your engagement, but I will be there at your wedding and I will be willing to catch the buttercup. In the meantime, I’ll be sending my engagement gift via courier. This is a pearl and I hope your next life will be as bright as this pearl.
