The pie chart shows the statistics of different occasions in immigration from and emigration to the UK in 2007. Overall, it can be clearly seen that the main cause of this decision was employment.

At the first glance, it can be seen that having a definite job, accompany and other reasons were the factors which maintained their percentage in both of the topics. Having a definite job was the most important cause for both migration types with 30% in immigration and 29% in emigration. Following this, accompany and other reasons almost secured their percentages. Accompany had 15% in immigration and 13% in emigration just as it is the case for other reasons which had 11% in immigration and 14% in emigration.

The second largest reason for emigration was looking for work with 22% while it had a minor priority in immigration with a percent slightly over one-tenth. Moreover, formal study, which was the second biggest occasion in immigration with just over a quarter, had a small minority with 4% in emigration. Furthermore, the rate of people stated no reasons was 6% in immigration while it was 18% in emigration which was three times more than immigration percentage. To sum up, looking for a work, formal study and no reasons were the occasions which demonstrated sharp differences between the two topics; namely, emigration and imigration.
