The table shows the Proportions of Pupils Attending Four Secondary School Types Between Between 2000 and 2009.

The table illustrates the percentage of secondary school students attending four types of school in the years 2000, 2005 and 2009. Looking from an overall perspective, it is seen that except in Community School, the rate of attendace in every school type declined from 2000 to 2009.

Firstly, the data in table reveals the fact that the proportion of students in Specialist Schools slightly changed from 12% to %10 during these years. In terms of pupil percentage, Grammar Schools dropped by half in signified years according to the graph. In contrast to the other school types, the most remarkable change is observed in Voluntary-controlled Schools which declined from %52 to %20 between 2000 and 2009. As for the students attending percentage in Community Schools, it is noticable that steadily increasing happens starting from 12% to 32% and later to 58%.

Furthermore, it is clearly seen that Specialist Schools and Grammar Schools changed similar to each other in terms of students attendance rate. In fact, Voluntary-controlled Schools had the highest percentage pupils rate in 2000 but in the following years, this rate fell down dramatically. Just opposite to this school type, Community Schools experienced a gradually increasing trend from 2000 until 2009.
