Pollution of rivers, lakes and seas is a major concern for people who seek to protect the environment.

What are the possible causes of water pollution, and what effects does this have on animal life and human society?

Nowadays, the world is facing many environmental pollution issues and ecologists are worried about swelling pollution in natural water resources, such as lakes, rivers, or seas. Various factors are leading to this kind of contamination and its severe effects on people and nature are getting worse day by day.

Initially, a plethora of reasons pose to damage natural water sources. To elaborate, many manufacturing plants dump their waste into lakes or rivers instead of using purification devices and hence this taints our natural quality water resources. Also, numerous areas which are located in the vicinity of lakes or riversides are designated as a landfill by manufactory owners. Besides, a majority of citizens have cars and they generally utilize fossil fuels. This situation creates huge amounts of carbon dioxide emission, which has detrimental effects on aquatic resources. Finally, individuals who can reach seas, lakes, or rivers set up camps and throw their domestic waste around the water.

Secondly, water damage causes many crucial issues for people and aminals. For example, aquatic sources include several toxic components at the present time because of industrial activities and waters which are mixed with poisonous elements result in some diseases for people. For instance, nearly 25 thousand citizens suffer from stomach illness in Delhi depending upon potable water which include a massive amount of nitrogen. Furthermore, a lot of sea animals lose their natural habitats and become extinct due to the fact that establishments dump their hazardous material into the sea. To exemplify, the Mediterranean Sea is a living space for many endemic fish types and one of them is Salvanio Alfogates. However, Salvanio Alfogates population was destroyed in 2018 because their habitat was exposed to a high amount of sulfur.

In conclusion, water pollution is caused by mismanagement of waste and industrial activities. Contamination of natural water resources is blazing severe consequences for humans and animals. If people do not consider this issue seriously, the world will fade away in near future.
