The table graph provides information about predictive literacy rates of male and female in Africa, Americas, Asia, Europe and Ocenia, between the years 2000 and 2004. A brief examination of the table chart illustrates the average world literacy rates for both genders in the same time period. Across the board, it is obviously seen from the chart Americas, Europe and Ocenia had the highest literacy rate while Africa and Asia had the lowest during 4 years time.
As it can be clearly seen from the table chart, Europe had the highest literacy rate reaching almost 99%. There was virtually no difference in literacy proportion of both European men and women, in 2000 and 2004. On the other hand, the percentage of literacy in Americas and Ocenia for both genders changed slightly from 94,1% for males and 94,2% for famels to 93,2%, 92,7%, respectively, in the 4 years time period.
According to the chart, Asia and Africa had significant distinction in literacy between men and women. In Asia, the percentagewise of literate women made up 72,5% whiles the proportion of literacy for Asian men accounted for around 13% higher than women rates. On the other side, about 53.9% of all African women were literate and 71.6% of the African men were able to read and write, from the years 2000 to 2004.
