The line graph shows information about the amount and the type of fast food consumed by Australian teenagers in a period of 25 year, from 1975 to 2000. Overall, it is seen that the consumption of pizza and hamburgers gradually increased over the period of time, whereas this amount for fish and chips decreased.
Firstly, the line chart reveals the fact that in 1975, fish and chips which was consumed 100 times in a year was the most favorite fast food for Australian teenagers. After 1975, the consumption of fish and chips declined slowly for 5 years, and then there was a short rise again from 1980 to 1985. However, its consumption started to decline steadily between 1985 and 2000, and finished the level just under 40.
On the other hand, there was a considerable growth in eating pizza and hamburgers by teenagers, although these two fast foods began at their lowest levels by being consumed approximately 5 times in a year. The consumption of hamburgers increased sharply from 1975 to 1985, whereas this growth was gradual for the consumption of pizza. In 1995, the number of teenagers consuming pizza stood at just over 80, and kept this level for 5 years. The consumption of hamburgers kept rising slowly, and the number of times of eaten pizza and hamburgers finished the period in the same level.
