The graph gives information about the age of the population of Iceland between 1990 and 2020.

The bar chart provides information about the percentage of population in different age groups who lived in Iceland in a more than three decades of time period, from 1990 to 2020. Across the board, it seen that the proportion of the 25-54 age group dramatically escalated while the size of the 0-14 and 15-24 age groups gradually diminished. On the other side, the age of 55-64, 65 and over age groups remained relatively stable in the period of 30 years.

As it can be clearly seen from the bar graph, in the beginning of the 1990, the percentagewise of 25-54 age group had the highest level compared with the other age groups. In addition, this size of population rose dramatically, accounting for marginally under 50%. According to the figure, the proportion of 0-14 age group remained the same, approximately 26% in both years, in 1990 and 2000. After these years, the percentage of children group declined moderately from 25% and under, during 20 years.

In stark contrast, the rate of 15-24 age group people inhabited in Iceland accounted for over 20% in the year 1990. However, in the following years, the number of Iceland inhabitants at 15-25 age group went down dramatically to less than 10%. On the other hand, the proportion of 55-64 age group slightly changed, nearly from 15% to almost 10% between 1990 and 2020. Finally, the age of 65 and over interchanged minimally throughout the years of 1990 and 2020.
