The diagram gives information about the process of making carbonated drinks.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

The diagram shows the steps of producing carbonated drinks in a factory. Overall, it is seen that carbonated drinks pass through five different stages in the whole process starting from raw water form and ending in the water in bottles and cans in the supermarkets.

Initially, the first stage is the water cleaning step. Raw water comes to the water treatment station and enters some filters and machines. Here, the raw water is purified by chemicals and water softeners. Then, the water which was purified is sent to the electric heaters through pumps. At this point, the second stage, heating evaporation and carbonation begin. In this station, firstly the water is heated and then is sent to the carbon dioxide tanks through cooling pipes.

Later, the next step is stage three that is mixing. In this stage, the water which was cleaned and added carbon dioxide is sent to the mixing tanks for colouring, syruping, and flavouring. When the mixing part is done, the water is ready for filtering and filling. At stage four, the prepared water enters the filters one more time and fills bottles and cans to be transported to the supermarkets. The final stage is the packaging section. In this part, the filled bottles and cans are packaged and loaded on trucks and delivered to the supermarkets for sale.
