When a country develops its technology, the traditional skills and ways of life die out. It is pointless to try and keep them alive. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?

It is claimed that old traditional skills and lifestyles disappear due to the advances seeing on country's technology sector. Thus, it is meaningless to sustain and preserve them alive. I agree with that statement, and in the following paragraphs, I shall explain my point of view and provide supporting reasons.

To begin with, it is a known fact that requirements for food, clothing, electricity and other vital resources are escalating every year because of the steadily rising human population. To meet this tremendous demand, people ought to rely on mass production instead of conventional skills and ways of life. For instance, if a country follows long-established method for food manufacture such as sowing of seeds with bare hand, or harvesting them without the help of a machine, it is impossible to produce food that can feed every citizen living in the country. As a result, by taking into consideration today's world conditions, it can be said that trying to keep accustomed abilities and lifestyles is a pointless and useless job to achieve.

Moreover, maintaining traditional way of life and skills restrain progresses that are seen on the technology area since most of the innovations and discoveries made when people did not adhere to ancestral way of thinking or acting. Taking Galileo as an example, we can notice that he was a man who broke the rules of its time. He claimed that the world is turning around the sun with the help of telescope. If he had used common methods to observe universe, humanity would have never taken benefit from technological advancements which came with his discovery. Therefore, dependence on conventional skills ought to be taken out, and they are even replaced by other technological enhancements.

In conclusion, I believe that because of the necessity of mass production and the restrictive aspect of classical methods, the development of technological area is more significant for a country, so it is senseless to make an effort to save traditional skills and style of living.
