Nowadays, there are many mass media forms in the world and they have varios negative and positive effects. in the following essay I will mention which advantages and disadvantages of three types of mass media; namely, TV, book and radio can have. Also, I will explain from my point of view, why the television is more effective than the other tools.

Initially, books are easily accessible and reasonably priced for the community. Also, people can obtain information about many topics by reading a book. For example, thanks to historical books, society can witness events that took place ages ago or authors commit their messages to paper that intended to reach the humanity. In addition to all of this, reading a book improves people's power of interpretation and they can look at things from different perspectives. The use of book as mass media has some negative effects. For instance, everybody does not like reading a book, therefore given messages can have an access to limited community.

Secondly, the radio is a device that is used by many people. The public can listen in while walking, driving or making sports. In this way, they can attain news as easy as winking and make use of the time well. However, we may experience some difficulties while listening to the radio. For instance, as we move away from the radio station, the radio signal may be cut off and what we are listening to will be unfinished. Also, the radio does not have visual resource; therefore, people lose their attentions while listening to the radio.

Third, I will talk about the television that I think is the most effective comminication tool. The television is the most used mass media device nowadays. This device reaches the largest community. The television attracts people's attention with the help of visual presentations and the given messages on television reach numerous people. Through the instrument of television, people can come to know from all area in the world and observe distant lands. The television offers chances such as watching concert, sport games and entertainment programs for people and they can grow merry easily and cheaply. However, the television has ill effects on the society. To illustrate, community became isolated due to television and social relations of people's rupture. The television gives countenance to sedentary lifestyles and this situation is pretty harmful for people's health.

In conclusion, humanity goes around with mass media in every division in their lives and these communication instruments have inevitably negative or positive effects on people's lives. As far as I am concerned, the mass media that has the greatest impact on people is the television.
