Some people believe that there should be fixed punishments for each type of crime. Others, however, argue that the circumstances of an individual crime, and the motivation for committing it, should always be taken into account when deciding on the punishment.

Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

It is an inescapable matter of fact that the presence of assorted types of crimes have always been a bitter fact in human beings' lives. When it comes to the penalizing system of the crimes, while some people line up with the idea that every kind of crime should have its own established punishment, others stand up for the opinion that individual crimes should be examined in detail with varied aspects of the crime and criminal. In this essay, I will take both of the stances into consideration and share out my point of view.

First and foremost, the entity of entrenched inflictions can take a part in the deterrence of punishments. Since the fixed penalties will be known by the masses, they will be aware of the circumstances that they will face with, if they commit a crime. Moreover, constant punishments may provide great convenience in the stepping up the castigating period. For instance, there are thousand of cases who have not finished up owing to fact that ongoing punishment system pays regards to too many points, and meantime, some of the criminal are still on the loose. Under the favour of fixed punishments, this situation could be no longer a problem.

On the other hand, every crime does not spring up identically. Some key points like the motivation of the criminal for commiting that crime, circumstances that the crime takes place or every side of background of the crime should be taken into account for a non-discriminatory penalizing system. For example, compared to two different murdering incidents, if one of them comes into sight by an accident and it is approved, giving this person the same punisment with a serial killer just as both of the cases are under the same title would be intolerable.

In my humble opinion, the backstory of a crime is not a factor that can be ignored. Thus, arranging some fixed punishments would lead to some struggles. It would not be feasible to find out if a person is really guilty or that person is given that punishment just because of the fixed penalties. Therefore, I support the second idea.

In conclusion, as regards to penalizing system, people have diversed stances. While some of them advocate the benefits of fixed punishments, the others think every crime should have its own penalties. I, personally, take the second stance's side.
