As the international travelling has become more prevalent day by day, some drawbacks have come in sight. One of them is that while making a visit to another country, what the demeanor of the visitors should be about the local customs. While some people line up with the idea of obeying the folkways and the manners of the area, others advocate that host country should be open to cultural disparities. In this essay, I will take both of the stances into account and give my own opinion at the end.
Prelusively, before visiting another country, searching out about a country's groove and behaviours carves out a substantial part. Some behaviours that do not seem absurd or out of place in some customs can have completely distinct senses in another custom. Hence, nonvolitionally, offending some people is quite conceivable. Further to that, every culture does not have the same frame of mind to their cultural heritage. In the country that you visit, people may be very conservative about degenearcy. Therefore, they might consider the visitors' attitudes as a threat.
On the other hand, cultural differences are the phenomena that make people unique. With the help of cultural diversities, people can teach and learn a lot from others. Host countries' nations should consider every single visiter as a brand new contribution to their customs. Moreover, having strict manners towards travellers to make them adopted to visited country may seem as provinciality by visiters, and this occurence can influence the reputation of the country in an unenviable way. Even some stereotypes towards that nation can spring up.
In my humble opinion, the visiters of these countries need to search the culture of the country that they are going to visit. However, the host countries should be more flexible about accepting the differences between customs. Still, the second stance outweighs the first one.
In conclusion, there are diversed groups of people who have different opinions about the upstanding attitude. While some of them stands up for the necessity of following the host countries's local customs and behaviours since we can offend them reluctantly, others think that the host countries's people are the ones who should be more openminded about different cultures.
