In some countries, owning a home rather than renting one is very important for people.

Why might this be the case?

Do you think this is a positive or negative situation?

In the some societies, owning a home rather than renting one is perceived as a necessity due to their cultures. This common perception stems form some causes such as having a home is a wealth sign. In my humble opinion, this case effects individuals in a negative and detremintal way.The following essay will be explained reasons of this case and expressed why this situation should be named as negative.

As a beginning, there is a prescriptive community custom which is having own home makes people more reputable in some cultures. If a family live a rental home, this family is evaluated from the other members of society as having low-budget. For instance, in my country, when people move into a new house, they certainly face with a standart question from the other landlors of apartment which is directed to new residents if they are the houseowner or the tendar. According to answers, their reaction can be differed for their new neighbours. In addition to this, even in the primary schools children make some comprasions about their parents' assests. These examples show that the common perception,regarding having a home, makes this issue quite crucial in some countries.

When it comes to put negative sides of having a home under the microscope, the first and foremost justificaton is the people who always feel themselves under the society pressure because of this matter. Since, in the most cases, due to social influence buying a home turns to an obligation rather than a choice. Even, in the sake of taking a more respectful place in the society, people compel themselves to pay a heavy lifelong loan. For instance, one of my acquaintance, who had not enough economic power for purchasing a house, could not stand persistences of their parents and neighbours and recieved a loan in order to have a house. End of the story, he could not pay his debts and encountered sanction of seizure because of this loan. Also,he started to take some medicines with the purpose of recovering his mental health.

In short, according to some countries, having a home has a determinant characteristic on the people's social status. Therefore, this case agnomiantes as significant. On the other side, because of the community pressure regarding in the issue of becoming a landlord, people feel themselves compel to own a property. Even, because of the burden of the mortgage, they have to seek medical remedies for their psychological health.
