Writting Task 1 Table for IELTS

The table shows the Proportions of Pupils Attending Four Secondary School Types Between 2000 and 2009. Summarize the information by selecting andreporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

The table illustrates the percentage of students attending four distinct sorts of secondary schools between the years 2000 and 2009. Overall, it is seen that the rate in Community Schools went up steadily to reach its peak, while that in the Voluntary-controlled Schools went down steeply in this time period.

Firstly, the proportion of voluntary- controlled schools attending was 52 %, which was the highest rate in 2000. Yet, this rate dropped substantially from 38 % to 20 % in the next 9 years. Secondly, the rate of Grammar schools attending which was 24% in the year 2000, gradually decreased to touch its dip point at 10 % in the year 2009. The rate of specialist school attending which was 12% in the year 2000 declined to 10% in 2009 This can be considered just as a tiny fall in nine years time when compared with the other schools.

However, while the percentage of sudents who attended the other three types of school declined significantly, the opposite was true in the case of community schools. In the beginning, the rate of students in community schools was 12 %, which gradually went up, first to 32 % and later to 58 % during the following nine years.
