The map below shows the development of the village of Ryemouth between 1995 and present.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant. 

The map illustrates how a village called Ryemouth has developed over the last twenty-six years. There have been several changes. Overall, it can be clearly seen that the most noticeable change is increase in accommodation, the elimination of the fishing industry, and the introduction of sports facilities.

In 1995, it can be easily recognized that the fishing industry was most popular in the village because there were a quite large fishing market and a fishing port in the south of Ryemouth. Moreover, there was a small cafe next to the fish market. Five shops and a hotel were built on the other side of the road. Also, a forest park and an agricultural area was located in the north-east part of the village. A constructed house zone took part along the coastal road. At the same time, there were twelve houses four of which were encircled by a smaller area.

Turning to the present day map, we recognize that some areas of the village experienced dramatic changes. New apartments have been settled in place of fishing facilities and some shops have been replaced the restaurants. The location and activity of the cafe and the hotel were not any altered. However, a car park has been located next to the hotel. Forest park and farmland have been turned into a golf course and tennis courts. Meanwhile, the number of houses have been increased in the settlement area.
