News editors decide what to broadcast on television and what to print in newspapers. What factors do you think influence these decisions? Do we become used to bad news? Would it be better if more good news was reported?

In today's modern world, media has an incredible power on the society, especially on TV and newspapers. Information that takes part in news influences everyone, and for this reason, news editors have to undertake significant responsibilities. In my humble opinion, news editors should not be under presure of publishing harsh events because people every so often need to hear constructive tidings, as well.

First of all, there are many underlaying factors that affect news editors decisions', such as concern of rating, public and goverment pressure and channels or newspapers styles. For example, some media institution owners are pro-goverment or anti-goverment; therefore, they put press on news editors and would praise to authority or denigrate them by news editors. For instance, PTV in Pakistan likes their administration, so that this channel's news editors is forced to give credit to their ministery. This situation that banned making objective news affects news editors negatively. Another point worth mentioning is consideration of rating. For that reason alone, some TV channels use people's private life, confidential photographs and sorrowful stories. This concern is causing editors to exploit people incorrectly.

On the other part, hearing bad news is unfortunately an accustomed situtaion for public today. Damaging news which appeares in media increases day after day. Almost the entire TV channels may publish vilolent cases, battles, and evildore role models for young people. All these unveiled adverse information make people worried. Besides, due to containing violence, broadcasts render prone to severity to people.

In coclusion, media has a considerable impact on people's lives, as a result of which news editors have to watch their steps about their announcement. In my opinion, publishers should be free while reporting and sometimes cover the news that motivate people.
