The map below is of the town of Garlsdon. A new supermarket (S) is planned for the town. The map shows two possible sites for the supermarket.
The given diagram presents the two feasible locations for the new aforethought supermarket that will be built in the town of Garlsdon which has a population of 65,000. From an overall perspective, the paramount dissimilarity between these sites is that the first place is just the exterior of the town while the other one is situated in the center of the village.
From a closer inspection of the map, the first proposed location is placed to the northwest of Garldson, in the countryside that surrounds the town, and near the Hindon which has 10,000 people. Besides, it is not far from the northend residental area while it abuts on the northwest industrial field. Profitably, the site number one is well-connected to these areas by road and rail. However, we have to consider the fact that though it is in close to the proximity to Hindon, it is quiet far away from Bransdon and Cransdon which are more popular to live.
On the other hand, the second site is situated at the heart of the city and is encompassed by industrial regions. Although there is no traffic permitted in this area, it is not far from two different housing areas. It is 16 km far from Bransdon and 25 km from Cransdon. On a final note, there is also railroad which is extremely close to the site number two.
