Creative artists should always be given the freedom to express their own ideas (in words, pictures, music, film) in whichever way they wish. There should be no public or government restrictions on what they do.
To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
Ever since art has existed, artists have played a starring role in having a voice of emotions and notions with various types of art branches. While they have had such paramount specialities, I believe that, by no manner of means, they should not be precluded and sabotaged by states or communities. I completely agree with this stance and the following essay will explain why I hold this idea.
What makes artists genuine creative people is their freedom to convey their sentiments and perceptions to audiences freely without any dread and impediment. Hence, the liberty, uttering of conceptions and feelings unblinkingly, implies fecundity which means a foremost element of the perdurable entity of art workers. Therefore, if the artwork is banned or come under various rules by commonweal or folk, the imaginativeness might get into danger. In other words, confining the artists with restrictions will ultimately result in a loss of creativity. When songwriters, for instance, lyricize in order to criticize the government politically, they are usually penalized with money or imprisonment due to their trying to disclose their thoughts ingenuously. As a result, these types of restraints, no doubt, lead to decreasing the diversity of topics and narrowing the inspiration verges of potential pieces of art and artists.
Furthermore, not only do limitations affect the composing and music industry adversely, but also they have impairing impressions on motion pictures, as well. With the remarkable improvement of film technology, most of the interests of people in movies, especially those of the young population, are growing. Thus, nowadays, making a film is one of the best ways of transferring opinions and aesthesis. However, the limitations which are enforced by audit companies to the cine films and television series might frustrate main messages and arguments of them from being conveyed to the viewers. Particularly, in some undeveloped and reactionist countries, their radio and television supreme council impose censorship and even remove some scenes owing to their judgments by claiming that they are too nonethical and unholy to be broadcasted. Conversely, I strongly support that these kinds of enforcements might disrupt the integrity of the artwork and damage the labor of the wright.
To conclude, even though people witness the deployed boundaries to the art types by regime or citizens, from my perspective, the artifice ought to be independent enough from powers and orders. That is the only way to sustain the art objects and their owners.
