In today's developing world, communication provided by various types of instruments between individuals plays an increasingly important role in people's ordinary lives. No doubt, each one of the different communicating instruments has several positive and negative aspects. The following essay will weigh on books, radio, and television and discuss their advantages and disadvantages. Among these communicating media types, from my perspective, television is much more convenient and efficient one than other types.

First of all, books which are the most primitive mode of transmission amongst the other two types serve the purpose of transfering the author's considerations, emotions, and life experiences to the audiences. Besides, they include information from basic skills to professional knowledge appealing to every different type of age ranging. In other words, the diversity of volumes could aid individuals to discover their dispositions and interests. However, the most common problem regarding books is the reading habit which is decreasing every passing year, especially considering young population, due to increasing their interests in advanced technology such as social media, and computer games. One more disadvantage of books is that they could not satisfy people visually owing to their lack of providing dynamic and effective pictures.

Second, utilizing the radio is one of the easiest accessible ways of obtaining information. In particular, people could reach news by listening to radio while driving or traveling. Not only does it transmit information contentedly and swiftly to the audiences, but also it does not force people's budgets financially due to their less demanding cost than the other media devices like television or computer. In contrast to this, it is an undeniable fact that radio could not make more progress as television or another type of devices could. Every year with the remarkable improvement of technology and people's standards of living, new versions of televisions such as smart and led ones are revealed while there are no significant changes in the technology of radio.

Third and most importantly, it is commonly believed that television has become the most preferred and lovable item for transfering information compared with radio and books because of conveying news with visual aids along with the live clips of important events. Another positive aspect of television is that it educates people about global situations and news which are broadcasted live at the same time for all people around the world. For example, populations who are located in Asia could be informed instantly about the incidents of Europe thanks to common broadcast channels in the world. Despite the advantages, the information provided by television is not always correct. It has been seen that news channels focus on information that can be sold easily while compromising on its accuracy.

In conclusion, every media of communication has its own positives and negatives sides. Though books and radio are reliable sources of information, television with its live coverage and instant transmission comes out to be the most suitable source in the existing area.
