Languages are dying out all the time. The result of this is a world with fewer languages. This is a good thing for people everywhere.

To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Languages are people's cultural and geographical identities. Over the recent years, many
local languages have been forgotten and died dramatically. However, in my opinion, the
death of the languages can both benefit people and harm them.

In terms of the benefits of language dying, some people believe that if people who speak
different languages live together, cultural conflicts may arise in that place. This is because
they cannot comminicate with each other well and as a result they cannot exchange their
ideas and feelings, which leads them to not to feel empathy for others. Therefore, they will
become strangers even more. For instance, in metropolitan cities such as New York,
Istanbul, London, many people come from different countries and cultures, and these
circumstances make them multicultural nations. If people who live in these countries
speak their own languages, cultural conflicts would arise in these cities and therefore
these cities could lose their cultural identities.

On the other hand, the death of local and early languages may have some harmful effects
on historical events and dissappearing cultures. Some ancient civilization's movements
and scientific methods such as gold ratio, engineering methods, architecture information
and medicine methods have left a mark in history. There is only one way to understand all
these methods, and that is learning their languages. For example, if we cannot translate
ancient egyptian, we cannot understand their history and their inventions. As a result, if
some foundations do not protect these languages, unfortunetely they will sooner or later
dissapear in the future.

In conclusion, some languages spread over the world and others died. In my opinion, all
these are the matter of geographical factors. People who live in metropolian cities have to
speak same languages because different language using may lead to cultural conflicts .On
the other hand, the death of some languages can cause cultural division and loss of
historical identities.
