Nowadays, the way many people interact with each other has changed because of technology. In what ways has technology affected the types of relationships people make? Is this a positive or negative development?

Today, the varieties of communication have kept pace with technological advancements. A majority of people use technologoy as a tool for making friends and keeping touch with them. It is no wonder that following these improvements has brought lots of diversities in terms of communication. I strongly believe that due to using tools of technology, people's understanding of sincerity has been affected in a negative way.

On the one hand, the idea of reaching different people in the world could be comprehended fairly attractive since discovering particular societys' lives, meeting new cultures, and comparing notes by sharing opinions are incredible opportunities for us. From another perspective, being informed about people, who we have known already, makes us satisfied in terms of learning about acquaintances' lives. Because in this way, we would not be alienated from our friends' lives even if we could not meet in the real life. This situation creates an effect on our percieve like we are catching life even if we do not blend in social life. With this sense of reassurance, life can easily be maintained and people do not need to be in search of a sociable environment.

On the other hand, making friends on social media or maintaining real friendships in this way will not be proper for human nature. People's relationships are based on realities and observing others' behaviours in a real atmosphere. Connecting with other people on virtual platforms includes some superficial conversations leading to distrusts. This causes fallacious understanding on human psychology. People get the idea that they have very tight bonds with their social enviroment. This issue starts to show its effects when individuals look for support in their dark days. While they have anticipations about their artificial friends because of the social media illusion, they will not find what they are looking for. Through devastating situations like this, a lot of people could experience some problems about trusting others in their further lives.

In conclusion, although it can not be denied that contemporary style of communication contributes to people's lives, the drawbacks of this kind of connection outweigh in social relationships. Glorifying positive sides and underestimating negative consequences do not seem like a logical approach.
