There are many different types of music in the world today. Why do we need music? Is the traditional music of a country more important than the International music that is heard everywhere nowadays?

Nowadays, people listen to different types of music more than they did in the past. We need music to express our feelings and have fun. In my point of view, although international music is more populer than traditional one, traditional music of a country is more significant than international music.

To begin, music is a way of expressing emotions for people. We can describe and share our emotions with help of music. For example, if someone feels happy, she/he can share her happiness with others by composing music. Then, people who listen to this music can feel the same emotions as the composer's emotions. Moreover, thanks to music, we add fun to our daily lives and get away from stress. For instance, after a tired week, people want to have fun and get rid of stress by going to the concerts.

Furthermore, it has been argued that whether traditional music of a country or international music is more important. I believe that traditional music has great importance because it carries the cultural values and backgrounds of country. Cultural elements of the country are transmitted from generation to generation through traditional music. Here, traditional music does not only aim for entertainment, but also instructs along with cultural traces. Besides, traditional music often has long history. In this context, it carries historical elements as well as cultural elements. When we look at the general picture, we can see that the sociological and historical elements of this music enhance its importance.

To conclude, people generally use music to show how they feel and how they can have fun. Despite the popularity of international music, traditional music is very important due to its cultural and historical structure. For this reason, the spread of the traditional music should be ensured.
