The diagram below shows how the Australian Bureau of Meteorology collects up-to-the-minute information on the weather in order to produce reliable forecasts.
Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information shown below.
The diagram illustrates the Australian Bureau of Meteorology's style of accessing actual and dependable data. The department follows four processes in oder to reach the sources and prepare a valid weather report. Overall, when we take a close look at the diagram, we can notice that these stages are incoming information, analysis-forecasting, preparing the broadcast and broadcast.
Firstly, incoming information section contains satellite, radar, and drifting buoy to run this business. The satellite reaches information and after this stage, it could act in two ways: either sends the data to analysis and forecasting or delivers them to the radar. Information obtained from the satellite or from the radar might be transferred directly to the radar screen or may be sent to the synoptic chart. Data delivered to synoptic chart could be forwarded to the drifting buoy. Information gathered from different ways pass the section of preparing the broadcast. After necessary preparation, data are ready to be presented to the public via three different devices, which are TV, radio, and recored announcement.
