Nowadays, families are not as close as they were in the past and a lot of people have become used to this.

Explain the reasons for this and discuss any possible effects it may have on society.

In today's modern societies, family relationships are getting weaker day by day. Family ties used to be much stronger in the past. However, nowadays, with the development of the country in any aspect, family bonds also changed. This is also a factor that affects the proliferation of communication problems and unfortunately makes the families get used to it. This has causes and many effects .

One of the reasons families are not as close as they used to be in the past is the existance of the internet and specifically the social media. In the past, there were no video calls or similar events and families were usually together. The new generation of young people is generally more dependent on gadgets such as phones, tablets and computers. Bygone era, these tools did not exist and people used to spend time with each other by chatting or tried to produce games to have enjoyable time together. That is why, problems in family communication were rarely seen. Another reason is that young people of today want to live a university life away from their families. No need to mention that this may weaken family bonds.

The fact that families are not close to each other has great effects on the society. One of the most important effects is communication disorder in our society. We see that there are too many divorces and the reasons for these divorces are conditioned on family relations. It also affects children a lot. In the past , there used to be feasts and relatives would come together. Now, everyone is far from each other, which naturally affect our customs and traditions.

In conclusion, it is a fact that today's family relations are weaker than those in the past. There are individual and general reasons for families not being close any more in today's world. The impacts of this fact on the society is clearly evident.
