The chart below shows the results of a survey about people’s coffee and tea buying and drinking habits in five Australian cities.



The bar chart illustrates the percentages of city residents, who bought coffee and tea, and went to drinking habits in five cities in Australia. Overall, it is obvious that 64% of people in Melbourne opted for going to cafe for coffee and tea in last 4 weeks.

To begin with, it is understood that the proportions of those buying either fresh or instant coffee options in last 4 weeks in Sydney were akin to each other. However, the differences of percentages of the individuals preferring one of these two options in the other cities were higher. Namely, whereas the ratio of people who bought instant coffee in last 4 weeks in Brisbane was 53%, that of those buying fresh coffee in last 4 weeks in same destination was only 34%.

Considering the people who went to a cafe for coffee or tea in last 4 weeks, we can easily get the picture that much more consumers densely preferred to go to a cafe for coffee or tea in last 4 weeks. Moreover, the rates of those picking this choice in Sydney, Melbourne and Hobart were above 60%. Even though the proportion of drinkers choosing to go to a cafe for coffee or tea in last 4 weeks in Brisbane was more than 55%, the ratio of of that in Adelaine was below 50%, which was overwhelmed by the percentage of individuals who went to a cafe for coffee or tea in last 4 weeks.
