The table illustrates the numbers of native speakers of six different languages and speakers as an aditional language. According to the table, it can be seen that 900 million native speakers speak Mandarin Chinese language and the number of speakers as an additional language are in total 1,090 million.

In details, the second most spoken language is Hindi with 370 million and the number of speakers Hindi Language as an additional language is 120 million people. Spanish native speakers are ranking third with 350 million. On the other hand, the number of people who learn spanish later are 70 million. English has different numbers because the number of speakers as an additional language(603 million) is higher then number of native speakers (339 million). The number of English speakers is totally 942 million. The meaning of this number is that English is the second spoken language around the world, compared to other five languages.

The numbers of Arabic and Portuguese native speakers with 206 million and 203 million, respectively, are very close to each other. The number of Portuguese speakers as an additional language(10 million) is lower than the number of other five languages speakers as an additional language.
