The chart below shows the results of a survey of people who visited four types of tourist attraction in Britain in 1999.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
Given pie chart and table provide a summary of tourists who visited various attraction places and the proportion of each visited theme parks in Britain, in the year 1999. Overall, a brief examination of both chart and table reveals that the most visited places were museums, galleries, and theme parks and the most preferred theme park was Blackpool Pleasure Beach.
As it can clearly be seen from the pie chart, "Museum & Galleries" and "Theme Parks" had the lion's share of the pie chart. Each option attracted more than 35% of all tourists, and "Theme Park" was the most popular place among tourists. The other two options, "Historic Houses & Monuments" and "Wildlife Parks & Zoos" together had a lure for only a quarter of all tourists.
According to the data provided by the table, slightly less than half of the tourists who visited theme parks preferred to see Blackpool Pleasure Beach. The second popular park, Alton Towers, was visited by nearly same number of people in the third place. The least popular options were visited with equal proportions, 10% each.
