The line graph is illustrating the change in the consumption habbit of fast food among Australian teenagers from 1975 to 2000. Overall, it is seen that the consumption fish and chips nosedived over the given period whereas the amount of pizza and hamburger consumption gradually increased.
To begin, in the year 1975 fish and chips were consumed 100 times per year, which was far higher than pizza and hamburgers consumed approximately 5 times in that year. Although in 1980, the number of eaten fish and chips experienced increment until 1985, it followed a decreasing trend until the end of the period to touch its dip point at 40 times eaten per year.
In the beginning, the consumption graphs of pizza and hamburgers are seen similar, in that they show that both of them were eaten less than 10 times per year but they started to increase sharply. The speed of increase in the number of eaten hamburgers was higher than that in pizza. Then the consumption of pizza and hamburgers levelled off from 1995 to 2000.
