Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? One of the best ways that parents can help their teenage children prepare for adult life is to encourage them to take a part-time job. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

In our contemporary world, children have to learn adulthood life. There are a lot of options while a teenage child learns how to become an adult. From my perspective, encouraging the teenagers to take a part time job is not one of the best ways. Therefore, I come out against the given statement because of two reasons which I will explore in the following essay.

To begin with, today's teenage children have many responsibilities in their education. They have to prepare for their exams and do homework. While they are struggling with these kinds of stuff, they are forced to compete with their companionship. These situations make them stressful and distract their focus. In addition to this pressure, if parents encourage them to take part- time jobs, they may not handle this responsibility. If I give an illustration about this condition, I can mention a friend of mine when I was in high school. Her parents made her take a part time job to help her learn the reality of life. Then, she started to go to work after school. After a while, she felt overwhelmed and got sick. As a result, her family regreted to make her work.

Secondly, from my point of view, being teenage children means that you will not be able to spend your time playing around anymore. That is because children should spend their free time with their friends or doing something what they want. However, when they start to do a part time job instead of spending time freely, probably they will deeply regret it. For instance, my uncle started to work in a part time job at the age of thirteen. From that time, he has been working without stopping. When I talk to him, he always complains that he missed his childhood because he had to work in that era. In conclusion, we will work our whole life after school; so we do not have to take part time jobs in order to experience adulthood life.

To sum up, I disagree with the idea that teenage children should take part time job to prepare for adulthood life. Teenagers have enough responsibility to handle and they do not waste their precious time by working because these ages will not come back again.
