The line graph illustrates the fast food consumption among adolescents who lived in Australia from 1975 and 2000. Overall, the number of people who ate fish and chips declined steadily apart from a small fluctuation. On the other hand, the number of people who preferred hamburger and pizza demonstrated a sharp increase between the years 1975 and 2000.
Firstly, it can be clearly seen that the most preferred fast food by Australian teenagers was fish and chips in 1975, while pizza and hamburger almost were not preferred by Australian teenagers in this year. The consumption of fish and chips declined for the next five years, but later it began to rise until 1985. However, it started to decline gradually to the lowest value at just under 40 in 2000.
On the other hand, the consumption of the other two kinds of foods; namely, pizza and hamburger showed similar pattern. In 1975, the number of pizza and hamburgers which were eaten by Australian adolescents was nearly 10 times per year. The biggest consumption among the other two kinds of fast foods was hamburger which finished at the same value as fish and chips began, with 100 times in a year. The consumption of pizza increased significantly and then exceeded fish and chips in 1990.
