The bar chart demonstrates gross domestic product generated by the IT and Service Industry in the UK from 1992 to 2000. It is given in percentage. Overealll, it can be clearly seen that both IT industry and Service Industry increased as a percentage of GD; nevertheless, the rate of increase in Service Industry remained at lower rate throughout 8 years period.
In the beginning, the Service Industry constituted 4 percent of GDP while IT went beyond this rate at just over 6 percent in 1992. Following next two years, there was not any remarkable change. IT Industry and Service Industry were just over 8 and 6 percent, respectively. In 1996, the Service Industry increased slightly, while IT decreased merely compared to the previous year. IT Industry increased sharply 12 percent and nearly closed with 15 percent in 2000, but the others remained just nearly same in1998.
At the end of the period, the percentage of GDP from IT was nearly 10 percent in 1992, while it was at just over 25 percent in the year 2000.
