The line graph below shows changes in the amount and type of fast food consumed by Australian teenagers from 1975 to 2000. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
The line graph emphasizes Australian teenagers' fast food preference changes during the given time period, from 1975 to 2000. The graph reflects that hamburgers and pizza got more popular among Australian teenagers by time, whereas fish and chips showed a drop.
To start, pizza and hamburger consumption demonstrated similar trends. Although hamburger consumption was slightly higher than pizza consumption, they both were preferred less than 20 times per year. From 1975 to 2000, fast food preferences changed for their benefits, and their consumption rate grew up significantly. Hamburgers became the most consumed fast food.
In contrast, as it can be seen, fish and chips consumption gradually fell over the years. Except for a small rise in 1985, fish and chips consumption dramatically decreased to the point under 40 times per year and lost its eminent place over pizza and hamburgers. In the end, in the year 2000, hamburger consumption took the first place from fish and chips, and was consumed more than twice as much as fish and chips consumption.
