In many developing countries, children work in some form to bring in necessary income from an early age. In the first world, many people think this is damaging and wrong but others would argue that their work brings them a sense of contributing, belonging and responsibility.

What is your opinion?

Working has been a vital need for human-beings throughout history. However, some individuals are of the opinion that child labor is not acceptable in developing countries, whereas others believe that this issue is quiet beneficial for the children. In this essay, two causes related to the first thought and one cause to the second view are disscussed and my personal opinion is expressed.

The first reason why working at earlier ages is a negative situation is based on the fact that children are likely to be financially abused by elders. It is well-know that many small businesses opt for young workers to work in developing states since youngsters can work for lesser salaries and bosses do not have to pay their social security taxes; that is, the individuals being below 16 cannot be involved in working law. Hence, these businesses neither ensure them to work for a decent salary nor garanty a rise in salary for children.

The second reason why child labor is an unwanted condition in developing lands is that children cannot be educated well at school. It is sad but true that some children must work so as to bring money to home and have to go to school at the same time. Upon experiencing these undesirable situations, youngsters cannot fully attend their school classes and comprehend the school subujects due to the bitter fact that they are either too tired to study or too exhausted to take responsibilities related to school activities. Thus, the more vocational burdens pupils have to take, the more failure they will be exposed to at school.

In contrast, some hold the idea that the reason why child work can be fruitful for children in developing countries is believing that working athmosphere can outstandingly turn them into more responsible, humble and reasonable people in future. Undoubtedly, a number of bosses expect from their workers to do their works flawlessly and if children learn how to deal with their responsibilities as expected, their such skills as attention, concentration and seriousness are more likely to be flourished. For instance, Nazif Zorlu, who is a businessman in Turkey, used to work when he was a child and now he is successfully managing a lot of companies and holdings.

In conclusion, it is obvious that child labor not only leads children to be misled at work but also steals their educational glories. However, this element easily mans them up and they can become successful business people one day. Personally, it is believed that due to the fact that childhood period of every individual is accepted as the most beautiful part of life, children should mainly focus on their school and leisure activities with their friends, rather than on working or breadwinning.
